Hubs surprised me with an adorable Gray Tabby kitten back in September. Well, ever since that fateful day I’ve turned in to one of “those” crazy cat ladies… What can ya do?
For those of you who also fall in to “that” category you know the drama that takes place when you have to take said furry friend to the vet. It’s not a pretty picture! I don’t know what it is about crates… but cats freak out just by the sight of them. Our little Loki was no exception. I saw something on Pinterest about a “friendlier” way to transport your kitten to the vet.
I was intrigued by this and I went ahead and purchased one for our Loki.
If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me, “What would I use a Sergerfor???” Well, I wouldn’t have to work full time as a sewing machine salesman 😉
The truth is, I use a Serger ALL the time. You don’t have to be a super talented seamstress (Hello! I’M using one #WorstSewistEver) to justify a Serger. In fact, I’ll illustrate this point with my refashion today:
Some time before Christmas my friend Lynn asked me to make a “Memory Pillow” from her father’s old Wrangler shirts and Jeans. I’d heard of Memory quilts but never pillows. Since I’m the queen of pillows I was intrigued and quickly did some research.
These are various ideas that I found on Pinterest, made by various other bloggers/people.
My (almost 11 year old) niece Kalli is a reader. She’s not a reader like I am, where she’ll read a new book every month or so… I mean, a READER. She’ll read, like, 3 books in a week. She’s a beast.
Well, this year for Christmas I wanted to make her something “book-y” so I decided to make her a reading pillow. I wanted it to be small and with a handle so she could carry it around to sleepovers or just in the car. I wanted it to have a pocket so she could actually store the book safely when she’s not reading it, which isn’t very often 🙂
