Some time before Christmas my friend Lynn asked me to make a “Memory Pillow” from her father’s old Wrangler shirts and Jeans. I’d heard of Memory quilts but never pillows. Since I’m the queen of pillows I was intrigued and quickly did some research.

Many apologies for few postings as of late. As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been busy with work. In fact, most of my sewing projects have been for work. I’ve really been trying to display the crap out of our sewing machines by making fun projects that showcase the machines’ capabilities. One of my favorite projects so far is my DIY Poinsettia Pillow Cases!

Though Tim and I moved in to our “new” house in September of 2014, we still have projects that we’re working on. Life happens, and it’s a never-ending work-in-progress 🙂 This past weekend I FINALLY finished our kitchen (well, maybe… I’m sure we’ll figure something else to do ’cause that’s just how we are).
I picked this lovely purple vino inspired fabric remnant for the valances. Both of these materials were $3.00 together after all sale prices were applied. (I’ll save the white fuzzy material for a pillow!). Continue reading
