It’s been a few Summers since I made these burp cloths for a friend’s baby shower.
These were so much fun to make, I decided to do this again for another friend of mine who’s have a BOY!
When I bought this Denim Dress I knew immediately that it wouldn’t take much to refashion it into a jacket. I think Jean Jackets are quite versatile and they seem to be a timeless staple to any wardrobe.
The zipper is completely broken. It’s not jammed or stuck. It’s just broken so I felt no guilt whatsoever when I cut the material at the waist (through the zipper and all)…
“Not ANOTHER pillow, Laura! For the love of all that’s holy!”
If it’s any consolation, these are a bit more “advanced,” technically speaking.
These pillows that came with our sofas are just blah. We’ve been updating our color scheme to include, drum roll please, blue. Never thought I’d live to see the day I’d decorate with blue as it’s my least favorite color (reminds me of winter…). But guess what? Blue can also be very SUMMER inspired.
I scored this wicked awesome Old Navy Sundress for .99 cents (do I even have to specify that…).
In all honestly the fit isn’t too bad and I love the happy color.
…But I don’t love the dropped waist and ruffled tiers on my hippy silhouette. Continue reading
My (almost 11 year old) niece Kalli is a reader. She’s not a reader like I am, where she’ll read a new book every month or so… I mean, a READER. She’ll read, like, 3 books in a week. She’s a beast.
Well, this year for Christmas I wanted to make her something “book-y” so I decided to make her a reading pillow. I wanted it to be small and with a handle so she could carry it around to sleepovers or just in the car. I wanted it to have a pocket so she could actually store the book safely when she’s not reading it, which isn’t very often 🙂
