Embroidered Denim Jacket

When I bought this DenimΒ Dress I knew immediately that it wouldn’t take much to refashion it into a jacket. I think Jean Jackets are quite versatile and they seem to be a timeless staple to any wardrobe.

The zipper is completely broken. It’s not jammed or stuck. It’s just broken so I felt no guilt whatsoever when I cut the material at the waist (through the zipper and all)…

Monogram & Fringe Pillows

These pillows that came with our sofas are just blah. We’ve been updating our color scheme to include, drum roll please, blue. Never thought I’d live to see the day I’d decorate with blue as it’s my least favorite color (reminds me of winter…). But guess what? Blue can also be very SUMMER inspired.

Gift Giving: A Reading Pillow Tutorial

My (almost 11 year old) niece Kalli is a reader. She’s not a reader like I am, where she’ll read a new book every month or so… I mean, a READER. She’ll read, like, 3 books in a week. She’s a beast.

Eating is for the weak non-readers of the world…

Well, this year for Christmas I wanted to make her something “book-y” so I decided to make her a reading pillow. I wanted it to be small and with a handle so she could carry it around to sleepovers or just in the car. I wanted it to have a pocket so she could actually store the book safely when she’s not reading it, which isn’t very often πŸ™‚
