My (almost 11 year old) niece Kalli is a reader. She’s not a reader like I am, where she’ll read a new book every month or so… I mean, a READER. She’ll read, like, 3 books in a week. She’s a beast.
Well, this year for Christmas I wanted to make her something “book-y” so I decided to make her a reading pillow. I wanted it to be small and with a handle so she could carry it around to sleepovers or just in the car. I wanted it to have a pocket so she could actually store the book safely when she’s not reading it, which isn’t very often 🙂
When I began sewing for my Christmas projects (personal and work related) this year, I didn’t intend to do a series on felt. But when I start on something, I kind of get rolling and the creative juices just won’t stop. I can’t help it… that’s just the way I’m wired, I guess.
Many apologies for few postings as of late. As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been busy with work. In fact, most of my sewing projects have been for work. I’ve really been trying to display the crap out of our sewing machines by making fun projects that showcase the machines’ capabilities. One of my favorite projects so far is my DIY Poinsettia Pillow Cases!
