Black Angora No Sew

I picked this up at my favorite little thrift shop a while ago. It was only .50 cents! It was also in great condition and Angora material is SO warm and comfortable. I knew that I’d be wearing it a lot in the Fall & Winter.

I can’t exactly wear it like this, though. I put a safety pin at the place where I wanted it to be on my hips.

Mark. Cut. Boom!

I had every intention to sew a hem…but when I saw that it didn’t fray at all I thought, “Why even bother?”

So I didn’t πŸ™‚

And that’s that.

This building is a block away from my house. I love the blue graffiti. I think the whole building just has a lot of character, so Muffin and I took a ‘lil field trip for these photos.

Muffin πŸ™‚
Wooded area off to the side of the building; equally gorgeous!

This sweater is definitely warm and toasty. I’ll be wearing the heck out of it this season. The best part is that it was only .50 cents and it took me about 30 seconds to fix.

Happy NO sewing πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, Melissa! I recently stumbled on to this particular thrift store…They have pricier stuff as well. I just wait for them to go on sale even more πŸ™‚ sometimes I’m able to get them for under a dollar, sometimes they’re gone the next time I go in… It’s a bit of a gamble πŸ™‚

  1. 50 cents??!!! That’s insane! What an incredible bargain, and great redo πŸ™‚ Also, love the pic of you with Muffin.
(*not sure we can all call him that…but it’s all I’ve got!) x

    1. Haha! You may definitely call him muffin. I’m sort of “famous” locally for calling him that (not sure if that’s good or bad) and everyone calls him that in homage to me (or probably just blatantly making fun of me). In fact, one of my coworkers at my second job had no idea his real name is Tim. She seriously thought his legal, proper name was “muffin”… then again, she is only 20 years old πŸ™‚

      1. HAHAHAHAHAHahahahahahaha!!! Honestly, I’ll be laughing myself asleep later on thinking about that!!
In fact, now I think about it, we could all change our names by deed poll to sweet goodies; I can be churro (the Spanish part coming in), you can be Pain Au Chocolat (exotic, why not?). “Then again, she is only 20 years old…” HAhaha!! x
