It’s kinda like Christmas in July… only it’s Halloween in August 🙂 Why, you ask? Simple… Retail.
You gotta be one step ahead of the curve in retail.
At my part time Job, we introduced all our Halloween merchandise this past weekend. And for the event, we were required to dress up in costume. Last year we did a conceptual theme. This year, we were more literal and decided to be black cats.
I’ve been a liiiiiiittle busy lately, so I actually just whipped my costume up on the day OF this event.
This is how I did it:
I found 2 scraps of black fleece (pic says felt, but it’s actually fleece…whoops. You could use either material and it’ll be fine. You could even use some stiff lace!) laying around in my stash at Job #1.
They’re folded (Bottom edge is fold) in half. I cut them, from the folded edge, into triangles.
Sew 2 unfolded triangle sides down with a straight stitch
Yes, that’s white thread. Ask me if I care 🙂
Through the gap, slide the triangles onto a headband. Every girl has a headband laying around…
Easiest Halloween costume, ever.
My coworkers got a little more creative than I did…
100% Laura Original 🙂
This seriously took me about 2 minutes to complete. Halloween (in October or otherwise…) doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. DIY it, baby 🙂
