This year for St. Patty’s Day I resurrected the same Starbucks T-shirt I wore LAST year…
It’s sad that this is the ONLY green shirt I have to wear every March 17th…
I pulled it out of my pajamas drawer. Yes, I wear this shirt to bed just about every night 🙂
This year for my no sew, I decided to copy the Refashionista by cutting the sleeves into strips. I, literally, did this before work…hence the blurry camera phone pics.
Give them a good stretch by pulling on them… Then, I turned the shirt inside out because there were a few stains on the right side (Don’t you judge me!)….Slid the neck hole under my arms and tied the strips behind my back.
I like it this way even better, actually 🙂
I tried to muster a smile, but I had just gotten some bad news from my health insurance about my accident… I’m trying not to be a fatalist or play the victim card… but this has been a really tough month. I’m trying to be positive, but it’s hard.
I’m not going to be able to have my arm lift surgery after all… and I’m really bummed about it. When I wear clothes like this that SHOULD be sleeveless, I get even more upset. 2 years of my hard work saving money down the toilet in a second. That’s all it took… one freak accident and life as I knew it changed. I’m not “Jack Handy” but my deep thought would be not to take the “small” things for granted, like, oh, breathing out of a functioning nose… Lesson learned. Well played, life. Well played.
Maybe by my 40th birthday I’ll be able to wear tank tops in the Summer time. In the meantime, I’ll just keep wearing cardigans.
Sorry for being a party pooper… I’ll snap out of it eventually.
Hope everyone had a great and sober St. Patrick’s Day 🙂
