Today’s post is a little different:
I saw this pattern when I was making a special order for a customer and I had to have it! How cute is this? Red is my second favorite color and this pattern came with the red silk material needed for the purse. I thought I would make it, and possibly offer a sewing class on it. I always test this stuff out before I just do it in a class… Plus, I needed a new Spring purse 😉
I wish I could say I followed the directions to the letter… but, alas, I did not. I don’t know what’s wrong with me… I just can’t handle “directions.” I have to figure things out my way, even if it takes me longer. I’m having a flashback to elementary school when ALL my report cards said: Has difficulty staying on task.
My purse doesn’t have the twisty tie thing that the picture has… well, it actually doesn’t have a LOT of things the picture has 😉 But, I really like the way it turned out..even if it is a little rough around the edges.
This was actually really difficult… and took a LONG time to make. Laura will not be having a class on this project any time soon!
