If it’s not a flood, tornadoes, or a freakin’ “polar vortex” blizzard… it’s something else. Seriously, this has been the most jacked up year for weather I’ve ever known in my life. Indiana is notorious for its bipolar seasonal “change” but this past year has been exceptionally odd… I’m over it.
I’ve been trapped in my house the last 3 days. It could be worse, so I shouldn’t complain….
Anyhoo, I’ve wanted to share several of my new creations. They look spectacular, especially taken with my NEW camera 🙂 I can’t tell you how happy I am about this new camera. It’s amazing! Unfortunately, I don’t have all my tools yet (cord, etc.) to share those pictures. So, in the meantime, I’ll have to share a couple refashions I did with my sucky camera
Anything that hides my gargantuous hips, I’m all about 🙂 So, I decided to keep the length and make this a super long vesty thingy. I accomplished that by cutting out the shoulder pads and removing the sleeves.
This material was fray-tastic! I had to use my serger to secure the seams… straight stitch just doesn’t cut it sometimes. Then, I just took care of that raw edge leftover from my missing sleeves and called it a day.
I also took off those hideous buttons in the front.
I did actually hem the bottom of the vest up a few inches. I have no pictures of that or any other “after” pics of me wearing this vest, but styled differently because, if I may reiterate, my previous camera sucked 🙂 Those were magically lost in translation somehow… oh well. That’s life.
I really hope I can share other creations with you soon. The pics will be so gloriously clear you’ll think you’re looking at a different blog! 🙂
