Happy Halloween: Part II

After I finished Lucia’s Pebbles top, I told Billie to pair it with blue bloomers. Exasperated, Billie said, “She doesn’t have blue bloomers!” Wheels in my head turning, I said, “Do you have a blue tshirt?”

And, that Duh moment folks, is what brings us to part II of Lucia’s costume šŸ™‚

Oh, that Billie! šŸ˜‰

Just like the green top, I used a pair of Lucia’s undies as a pattern for the bloomers

Shaping up.

Sew the seams using that fun overcast stitch on my Janome DC5100… still šŸ˜‰

Must use the right foot for the best look possible.

Then, I made a casing for elastic at the waist of the bloomer. Sewn down with a straight stitch leaving barely a half an inch was all the space I needed to feed the elastic through…

I was going to do this for the legs too… but after a slight elastic malfunction, I just gave them a simple hem šŸ™‚

Sideways… but you can see I made them “bikini” style šŸ˜‰
Dress rehearsal before the big day. It fits!
Gotta clean those teeth before you trash ’em up again, right?

What a cutie patootie. Sadly, none of the other pics of Lucia turned out… the high of Halloween was just too much for her to sit still šŸ™‚

For .99 cents, though, she had a pretty wicked costume… no pun intended.
