Sometimes, I just wanna be lazy. I’m not gonna lie. I have a full-time job, a part-time job, I donate plasma 2 mornings a week, I have rehearsals during the week for my musical endeavors, I have a family, yada yada yada… I have a lot going on. When I have an entire day off from all my jobs/commitments I get pretty darn excited! On those days (that are few and far between!), I allow myself to be lazy and I soak up every blessed second of it. The last thing I want to do is sew an epic project!
If a thermal Henley wasn’t designed for a lazy day off I really don’t know what was.
I like thermals. I am ALWAYS cold, so they suit me just fine. The pale gray wasn’t suiting my complexion just fine, though. It needed just a little something, something 😉
I had a little bit left of these darker dyes, so I did a little suicide action. Waste not, want not.
I like the color that turned out. It’s kind of a smokey purple. Yes, that’s a real color.
So lazy was my day off I didn’t even care about my “after” pictures.
Sidebar: the collar has a velvet trim, which I didn’t notice when I first tried it on. It actually took to the dye, but only very subtly. It turned out to be a nifty accidental feature, I thought 😉
I love my new .99 cent Thermal Henley. It was super comfortable for a very lazy day off doing absolutely NOTHING… save for going to my parents’ house for a wicked dinner.
Having an entire day off happens about once a quarter lol. So, don’t worry. I’ll have more epic (and not-so epic) refashions coming up.
